Jully Khattar, despite many obstacles, rarely appears anything other than positive and happy.

Sun Shine: A daughter of Vernon Hill, St. Vincent |  “It’s been really hard for us knowing that she has to suffer the way she does. But God only gives you enough that you can handle, and God surely knows that she can handle this.” Born in a hospital named for a saint best known for his compassion and charity, it seems Jully Khattar had little choice but to persevere and become a selfless beacon of hope.

Editorial: Gloomy report about Worcester highlights specific needs |  A recent report from the Pioneer Institute claims, among other things, that Worcester and 13 other Bay State cities “no longer have a clear functional purpose.” While we feel this is an understatement, we believe the report and similar research point to remedies that will help make these “Middle Cities” competitive in the 21st century.

Local Crowdfund: ‘Snowflake’ a one-of-a-kind endeavor |  Set to be filmed in Worcester and with homegrown talent centrally involved, a movie about a white girl rapping her way to acceptance might just strike a chord. Giselle Rivera-Flores has more on this passion project.
