cmha-logoCentral Mass. Housing Alliance awarded $240,000 to address housing instability

The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) announced it awarded $865,000 in funding to create eight regional consortiums to provide crisis interventions services to families and individuals facing acute housing instability across the Commonwealth. An additional $1 million will be allocated to develop and implement specialized services for youth under the age of 24 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Central Mass. Housing Alliance of Worcester was awarded $150,000 in youth service funds and $90,000 in consortium funds.

May3_UPC_PhotoUniversity Park Campus School gets new science lab

University Park Campus School students who take AP science classes have had to go to other schools because their equipment wasn’t up to AP standards. Not anymore!

UPCS now has a brand new AP-level science lab, thanks to money from the city’s Community Development Block Grant funds. The new lab was built from the ground up — including a new fume hood for experiments, new sinks and burners, furniture, audio/visual equipment and more.

WPI’s Foisie School of Business cracks Bloomberg list

WPI’s Foisie School of Business made its inaugural appearance on the Bloomberg Businessweek list of Best Undergraduate Business Schools.

WPI ranked 94th nationally and seventh in Massachusetts behind Boston College, Bentley, Northeastern, Boston University, UMass and Stonehill.
