Young Professionals Night Out tomorrow at The Edge

Young Professionals Night Out, a free networking event, is planned for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at The Edge at Union Station, 8 Grafton St.

Food and light refreshments will be served. Parking is available for free in the lot under I-290 or in the Union Station Garage for a fee. The event is hosted by the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Ani-Motion Wednesday morning at Worcester Public Library

Animal World Experience is bringing its new show, Ani-Motion, to Worcester Public Library at 11 a.m. today.

Ani-Motion will bring you on a journey as you walk on the wild side, and learn how animals stay fit and healthy. Whether it’s digging like degu, eating healthy like a tortoise, or soaking up the sunshine like a lizard, you’ll learn a lot from these wild animals.

Animal World Experience was founded in 2006, and is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Matt and Melissa Gabriel. The company is committed to the health and happiness of their family of animals, and they use their knowledge and understanding of animals to design unique and educational experiences.

POW! WOW! Worcester seeks donations for paint

POW! WOW! Worcester, the international mural festival scheduled for Aug. 26-Sept. 4, is seeking donations to purchase 2,500 cans of spray paint. A $10 donation will provide one can of paint to be used at the festival; $50, six cans.

Worcester Local Weekend kickoff event Friday

The city will host a Worcester Local Weekend Friday Night Kickoff from 5-8 Friday night on the Common. There will be live music, food trucks, a beer garden with Wormtown Brewery beer and Knockerball.
