The reservoirs are receding — not exactly “The British are coming!” but stick with us — so much so the city’s buying water from Quabbin Reservoir for $1.7 million, and officials ratcheted up the Drought Emergency scale to Stage 3.
Arid weather has scalded much of the state for months, and the media has beaten the drum on dryness for weeks. Oh, and the whole, “It never rains anymore” thing. So, everybody’s on the same page when it comes to conserving water, right?
