Reliant Medical Group is moving many of its area offices and services to 5 Neponset St.

Reliant Medical Group, which purchased an office building near the Greendale Mall last year, has released its plans for the nearly 120,000-square-foot facility.

Reliant purchased the building at 5 Neponset St., Worcester, for $10.25 million as part of a corporate strategy to move away from leased space. The building was previously the home of Babcock Power, which moved to Marlborough last year.

Current Reliant offices in Worcester at 135 Gold Star Blvd., 300 Grove St., 191 May St., 425 Lake Avenue North and 630 Plantation St. will see their departments move, most to Neponset Street.

In a letter sent to patients last month, Chief Communications Officer and Executive Administrator Linda Coccola detailed the upcoming moves and the target dates. The Neponset Street building, which is under reconstruction, has a target opening date of October.

“We are thrilled to be designing and building healthcare facilities that better meet the needs of our patients, caregivers, and staff,” Coccola wrote. “Once these moves occur, you will see your trusted healthcare providers in brand new, state-of-the-art medical offices that are in easily accessible locations in Worcester and surrounding communities.”

Eye services, radiology and mammography, podiatry and the lab at 135 Gold Star Blvd. will move to Neponset Street. The Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine will move to the Worcester Ice Center, 112 Harding St., and to 11 Distributor Road, across from the Shaw’s Supermarket on Gold Star Boulevard, a move scheduled for November.

MRI and other radiology services at 300 Grove St. and all departments at 191 May St. will move to Neponset Street.

Other services moving to Neponset Street will be the dermatology, behavioral medicine and rheumatology departments from 425 Lake Ave. North; and the adult medicine, pediatric specialists, endocrinology, and lab and radiology departments from 630 Plantation St.

In March, Reliant’s new facility at Auburn Mall will house the gastroenterology department from Lake Avenue North and The Endoscopy Center, currently on Plantation Street.

In moves scheduled for April, the adult medicine and lab from Lake Avenue North and pediatrics department from Plantation Street will relocate to Route 9 and Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury.

Reliant’s letter to patients notes that there are no moves planned for the offices at the Worcester Medical Center, 123 Summer St.

Reliant created a website, www.reliantmoves.org, to keep patients up to date.
