I am a great admirer of the work that the media does. But, I draw the line at the media’s incessant whining.

In many municipal elections, candidates have to work hard to show the distinctions between them. Often the differences are a matter of degree – candidates agree more or less on what needs to be done. Not in this one.
Across the city, few people know his name. Despite the fact that he has been at his job serving the neediest families in South Worcester for more than 40 years, he is relatively unknown – sort of an invisible man.
I enjoy a good political discussion. Since I did not respond to all of the (reader) comments that I would have liked to (in my recent column “Trump must go”), here are some of the things I would have said had I responded.
Sure there are challenges with locating a major sports franchise here in Worcester. In my opinion, locating a Triple-A Red Sox affiliate in our city would be a huge win.
Get your lawn chairs out and bring the popcorn. This campaign could be a real barnburner.
I am no snowflake! … In my entire life, I have never been referred to as overly sensitive or fragile. But the callous, insensitive and damaging actions of Donald Trump are hurting so many that I am truly heartbroken.
In my opinion, giving preference to American-made goods makes a great deal of sense. It is time that we support the men and women who work for an hourly wage, whose sweat helped build this country and whose hard-earned tax dollars pay for all that our government is able to do.
